Participation in the Cleco Power Wise Program is simple and hugely beneficial to Northshore residents.
Scheduling- Asyndant Energy will set up a time and a date for your service. All appointments are daytime appointments, Monday thru Friday with a choice of 8:00am or 1:00pm. Times can very slightly by request or necessity.
Your appointment- Upon arrival a crew members will introduce themselves and there will be some paperwork for you to fill out. The lead will have some questions about your bills and any issues with the comfort of your home you may be experiencing. Then they will begin the assessment which includes a blower door test(Measures the air seal of your home), a duct blaster test(Measures the integrity of your AC system- Air handler, return, ductwork) and assess the insulation value of your home
The Work- Once the assessment and testing is done the crew will start the weatherization process, air sealing your home and sealing your AC system(s). All of this is paid for by the Cleco Power Wise Program Rebates.
Cost and Time- All of these services are paid for by the Cleco Power Wise Rebates. The entire process should take between 3 and 5 hours depending on the depth of work that needs to be performed. If issues are found that require work not covered by the program we will make recommendations and offer estimates. Asyndant Energy will never charge you for anything you do not approve of beforehand. Cleco Power Wise provides rebates to help towards upgrading your insulation if your existing insulation is R8 or below. If your insulation is below the State Code, R38, we will offer an estimate to upgrade rebate or not. Insulation is always scheduled for a later date.
Completion- Once the work is complete, a crew member will have you sign an a Residential Assessment, take a picture of it for Cleco an leave it with you.
